English Language Learners
Services for English Language Learners (ELL) include basic ESOL for 6th, 7th and 8th graders. The basic ESOL program is one in which the content area teachers work together to help ELL students. Content area teachers make modifications for ELL students, such as speaking slowly and clearly in class, using more illustrations, printing clearly on the board, allowing the use of a dictionary and personal word banks, shortening assignments and providing extended time to complete homework, tests or projects.
