I was born in Carolina, Puerto Rico and moved to Lakeland, Florida when I was about two years old. I went Performing Arts Magnet Middle and High schools and majored in voice. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Social Science Education and master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida. I am in my 16th year in education.  I began my career at Lee Middle School (now known as College Park Middle) as a social science teacher in the IB program. After 7 years teaching, I moved to East River High School to begin my administrative career as a testing coordinator and academic dean. My first assistant principal experience was at Cypress Creek High School the past six years. I’m excited to be at Discovery Middle School to continue my passion of helping students and parents.

I was born in Wilmington, North Carolina and moved to Houston, Texas when I was 6 months old. I joined the U.S. Navy, upon graduating from high school. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Social Science Education and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Central Florida. I currently have 22 total years of military service. I am a Chief Master Sergeant for the 290th, Joint Communications Support Element, based in MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida. I have completed 4 tours of duty, including Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, and Qatar.

I began my career at Timber Creek High School as a social science teacher. I then moved on to Jackson Middle School as the 7th grade administrative dean. Upon becoming an administrator, I served Hunter’s Creek Elementary School as assistant principal. As a member of this community, I am very excited to be a part of the Discovery Middle School family. Discovery has a long-running history of excellence, and I am proud to say I am an Explorer.
